We’ve walked on the moon.  Landed robots on Mars.  Cured polio.  Survived disco. Created the internet.  So why don’t we have more video profiles for adoptive parents?  Think about it.  Why do you put a picture on your parent profile?  If you knew it would hurt your chances you’d dump it, but you don’t because it’s important.  

So let me ask you about the parent profile picture you would carefully select.

Would you choose to use a picture over a written description?
Would you choose a drawing over a photograph?
Color over black and white?  

I’m guessing you’ve chosen a color photograph.  I mean why not?  It’s what best represents you.  But what if you had one more choice, a moving picture with sound or a silent still image.  Now what would you choose?  

Every decision up to now is driven by the desire to put the best foot forward for a potential birthmother to see, as you should.  So why not include motion and sound?  It’s something you can’t hide.  I can tell you she’s going to see you walk and talk when you sit across from her at the restaurant.  I’ve adopted, I know.  

So don’t cheat your adoption and pull up short on something a birthmother desires.  Take the extra step and get a video profile made.
