Need to Know
How to Dress for the Actual Interview:
- Clothing: No white. No Black. No pin stripes
type patterns. Solid colors are best. - If you can
coordinate with your spouse all the better. - If you
can’t decide on an outfit bring several and decide at the interview.
- Ladies I’m leaving the make-up to you. There will be
a mirror in the changing room so bring your touch up kit.
- And guys if you get a hair cut, try to get it a few days before
the interview so it has a few days to settle in.
Things to Bring to the Interview: -
Pictures, for possible use in your profile video.
(Pictures on a CD would be best, but actual pictures work just as well
and all will be returned.) - A change of clothing,
if needed.
What to Expect at the Interview:
- The whole experience is around three hours, lighting
tweaks included (usually less), every interview is
different. - Restrooms
- Refreshments - The interview is conducted
indoors.
Interview Questions:
- Before your interview you’ll be sent a list of the
questions you’ll be asked. Doing this gets you in the interview
mind set but the actual order the questions are asked is a secret.
This keeps you on your toes just enough to make the
interview fresh. - Also if you, your agency, or
law firm have some specific questions you would like asked
AdoptProfiles.com welcomes them completely. After
all this is your profile video we are making.
Email
addresses and 800 numbers:
The whole point and
design of AdoptProfiles.com is to connect with your birthparents as
quickly and easily as possible. So if you have a dedicated phone
number, or 800 number (this includes 888,866,and 877 numbers) and an
email address let AdoptProfiles.com know so we can include this
information in your video profile if you like.
If you don’t
have a toll-free number or dedicated email address, I suggest you get
one. It will only help. Just a side note. While you’re adopting
always answer the phone positively, you never know when a birthparent
will call.
Still
have questions? Please call 888-543-9697.
